Wood is a sensational material, and according to me, beautiful from anywhere you look at it. The wood drawings are different depending on what side you look at it. Either you look at the vertical side cut or the horizontal side cut (then end of the board). The drawings are different but still nice.

This table has been design and made with many pieces of wood only seeable at the end of the wood board. This technique (rarely used) has this particular virtue to allows realize very graphic shapes and drawings. I named this coffee table « turtle », due to this special dovetailing that looks like a turtle shell.

The tray is composed with three rare and precious woods: Zebrano, Smoke Oak and Walnut. This dovetailing is maintained with black epoxy resin. The base is made with white Oak and natural black using the Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban.
