Zyricote… the name itself tickle the imagination. This rare essence of wood from South America is fascinating. Those nuance of colors, those strange waves evoking some mountainous landscape never stop to hypnotize me and catch my rover mind…

I thought that piece of wood was nice that I just wanted to show it as it is. The idea was to put this magnificent wood on a kind of base.

The natural drawing of this wood give the impression to offer a landscape. As the wood was damaged I decided to accentuate this picture. I dug and flow epoxy resin with metallic color pigments. Those little touch of color amplify the strange side of this fairy landscape.

Cherry on the cake, some very thin bubbles came in the flow process of epoxy resin. Invisible, the bubbles just emerge when lighting up the tree led light. May be it is just in my mind, but I see snow falling on a landscape… Will you see it too ?
